Really wanted to draw something toony, and I will never stop loving Pokemon, so here have a couple of my favorites - Hawlucha and Gengar. The Hawlucha I caught in Pokemon X is - hilariously enough - lazy. Of course I’d catch the lazy fighter. I don’t have a Gengar yet, but I hope to change that soon.

EDIT: Updated the image cuz I forgot to color his butt. Sorry, Walf.
Daily scene sketches #2 and 3. Double-post since I went to bed last night before I could post the sketch.
So I’ve recently been approached by a local business here in town to do some character designs for the re-imaging of their business, and it finally got my butt into gear to make a price break-down for commissions (so I can at least earn minimum wage while doing freelance work yay!). It got me thinking I should relaunch commissions online/here on tumblr (this time with 100% MORE OPTIONS!).
This week, I’ll be working on prices and types, so consider this to be an interest poll/advanced advertisement for any of my followers who are interested in getting some art from me! C=
So my modem at home pooped out a couple days ago, and I bought a replacement but for some reason it’s butts and won’t work, so I’ve just been bumming internet at work when I get some down time. Nights without interwebs means drawings of frumpy, sweater-loving bookworm characters like Hypatia here. Pretty sure she doesn’t know what the sun is and she’s 100% ok with that.
Also testing out that rough-edge crayon-looking style in Photoshop, though I’m not sure I’ve quite got it yet. Or do I? Idek I just think it looks cute and I see it all over my fav artist tumblrs, so it’s obvi that I’ve gotta try it out.
Literally me right now trying to break this horrendous art block in order to draw something. Anything. Funks are stank and terrible, yo.
The first of many holiday toons I’ll be making (belatedly) as gifts. This one is for a certain dino-dragon-loving little boy I know in my most favorite system. I’m leaving it black and white so he can color it every shade of orange he wants.
I took some photos one super-crazy-foggy morning on my way to work to use as reference photos later, then decided to do a couple speedpaints of them. I always think ghosts and Slendermen never take advantage of foggy days like that. Wasted opportunities to scare me poopless, man.
One of my final poster designs for my undergrad internship with FSU Student Life Cinema - did a The Birds themed poster for their awesome Classics block of movies. This is my favorite poster that I’ve done, even if The Birds is complete nightmare fuel.
If you’re in Tallahassee, FL, (especially if you’re an FSU student, cuz you get in for FREE), go check out the SLC after the holidays to see some great movies and live events.
