Watched Polly Guo livestream some thumbnails for her “Strongman & Pianist” comic and felt like drawing some fanart of Strongman. I love how natural but still stylized her figures are - they never look forced and are always so organic.

Solidified a character design I thought up in my sketchbook. She started off as an elf but turned into a pink-haired djinni, I guess. With fun eyebrows. I really love giving characters thick eyebrows aahh =u=
P.S. Harem pants are hard to draw.
Trying to play around with texture, color, and hard brushes. Ended up doodling Nameless, a character which belongs to 70% EtOH. This is really messy, but I’ll hopefully get better.

A quick portrait sketch turned into a quick color practice turned into a portrait study. I was gonna try and come up with a sketch to finish/color/paint for a workshop I’m hosting this weekend, but I got carried away play with color palettes. Oops. I’m also noticing a lot of guys on my campus bringing back the “shave awesome designs in your hair” fashion and that legit excites me because I love that look.
I miss doing portraits.
Took a quick WIP shot of an illustration I started working on in the studio earlier. I bought this Higgins brown ink and wanted to test it out along with some new gouache paint. Not sure I’m 100% happy with the creature thing, but there’s still more work to be done on it.
