Kinda rough as I’m trying to get back into the digital art swing.
Scanned up some rough character sketches to throw together.
Picking up #mangastudio again to get back into the digital drawing habit. #art #sketch #characterdesign
Super messy, but I reminded myself this was supposed to be a QUICK color practice, so I’m calling it done. Sleepy autumn forest dragon time~
One last palette practice/scene illustration before I run off to watch tonight’s episode of Game of Thrones. This one’s half inspired by Disney’s “Atlantis” and the soundtrack to Pixar’s “Brave” movie. I just like big, floating, Easter Island-y heads.
Wanted to do some background art/color-scripting type stuff for practice with scenes and color palettes, so I did three different color palettes. This has inadvertently made me want to try my hand at children’s book illustration, I just… need a story LOL.
Done in Photoshop CS3
Since today’s the official release, I should probably start advertising for Mice Templar IV: Legend, Issue #9, written by Bryan J. L. Glass, illustrated by Victor Santos and Michael Avon Oeming, and published by imagecomics. I got the awesome honor of throwing together a pin-up illustration for their myths and legends article about bards and medieval minstrels. It was a fun assignment for a wonderful series, so definitely go check out Mice Templar!
The set of Adventure Time stickers I made for an upcoming local convention (if you’re in Tallahassee, FL, check out ALT*Con at the Civic Center yo). I wanted to make more - Lemongrab, BMO, Ice King, Lemonhope, and even other princesses - but I did these last minute, and I’m not even sure if I’ll be able to get them printed and cut down in time for the convention. At the very least, people will be seeing me cutting out stickers at my table haha.
