Work-in-progress shots of one of my current paintings in class. Back to oil paints in figure-painting. I was getting tired of watercolor, so I decided to switch back for a bit. How long until I get tired of oil paint again? Who knows. I have the attention span of a ferret apparently.
Took a quick WIP shot of an illustration I started working on in the studio earlier. I bought this Higgins brown ink and wanted to test it out along with some new gouache paint. Not sure I’m 100% happy with the creature thing, but there’s still more work to be done on it.
Some progress photos of one of the paintings I’ve started in my figure painting class this semester. Decided to paint over an old wood panel painting I didn’t like anymore. The amount of shocked reactions in my class in response to this decision was hilarious. Whatevs, man, I’m pretty sure I have photographs of the old one… somewhere… if not, w/e it was crappy anyway and I’m pretty sure I can do it again better.

WIP shot of a print I’m attempting to whip up as a part of my thesis and also to sell out of my studio for an event this coming December. It’ll be the last First Friday event we’ll have there before we move out and into the new VAST studios that the university provided for us, so I’m legitimately excited.
Especially cuz these new studios will be air-conditioned, will have WiFi, a computer lab, and will be an actual building and not a shitty warehouse with old walls, rats, spiders, and birds sneaking into poop on our work. 8D I like not getting animal poo on my paintings, guys. It make me happy.
You know it’s time to put the tablet pen down and go to bed when you start saving your late-night doodles as “wtf is happening i don’t even.”
So I keep trying to write these listening guide song evaluations for my homework that’s kinda basically due tomorrow morning, but then this thing keeps happening where I go back to work on the elf chick that was just supposed to be a speedpaint and then oops I kinda liked it and then maybe I’ll like it enough by the time I finish it to submit it to the IlluxCon scholarship contest this year maybe idk I just want a job guys
